Basic Rules

The backgammon board divided to two halves with a separator called "bar".
In one half of the board there are your homeboard and the opponent's homeboard, and in the other half there are your outer base and the opponent's outer base.

The two players move in different directions. You move your checkers from the opponent's homebase into his outer base, then to your outer base and then to your homebase.

The movement is from one triangle to another (in backgammon, these triangle are called points).
Every point is numbered from 1 to 24 (the first point in your homebase is your 1st, to the last point in your opponent's homebase that is your 24th).
